5 ways to wellbeing

5 ways to wellbeing

There are five key ways we can take care of our own mental health and wellbeing as part of our everyday life. Evidence suggests that being active, connecting, taking notice, learning and giving all contribute to good wellbeing and may help us to avoid mental health conditions in the longer term. You can find out more about how you can do these things in Blaenavon below.

Be Active

Being active is good for our bodies and our minds. Regular activity helps reduce stress and anxiety, boosts confidence, and improves energy levels. There are many free activities, indoor and outdoor, such as walking, cycling, gardening, yoga. It’s important to find something that you enjoy and that is suitable for your ability and any health conditions you might have.
